TBR Intervention: February 2013

TBR Intervention will run on the first Friday of every month in 2013.

Right now my TBR pile is so big that if it collapsed on me, it would take days to find my body.  I don’t want to end up on hoarders, so every month, I’m giving you the opportunity to win a book from my stash.

Here’s how it will work:
1. The first Friday of every month, I’ll post a small stack from my TBR (4-5 books). Here are your choices for this month:
The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver (See Rule 3 below)
Stupid Fast by Geoff Herbach
Velveteen by Daniel Marks
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Across the Universe by Beth Revis

2. Leave a comment with your vote on what I should read next.  You have one week (ENDS on THURSDAY FEBRUARY 7 at 11:59 PM )
.

3. I'll pick and announce a random commenter on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8. I then have one week to read the winner’s choice before putting it in the mail for them.

Please familiarize yourself with my giveaway policy and here are a few important rules that apply just to TBR Intervention:
1. TBR Intervention will be open internationally to any where The Book Depository ships, because I reserve the right to avoid the customs form and just buy you a new copy.
2. In the case of personalized and signed books or e-books, I will send a new copy (paperback if available) to the winner via Amazon (for US) or The Book Depository (for international).  However, if it is an unpersonalized signed copy... that book is up for grabs!
3. If my TBR book is an ARC of a book that has already been released, I will send a new copy to the winner via Amazon (for US) or The Book Depository (for international).

So tell me... what should I read next?

  1. Oh my goodness, Steph, you haven't read Graceling yet? Get on it!

Both Spindlers and Across the Universe are on my TBR as well. :)

  2. I think this is a brilliant idea! Graceling has been lingering on my TBR list FOREVER! I vote for that and if I win, I promise to read it when I get it and then pass it along.

  3. ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and GRACELING ....AT THE SAME TIME. I'm kidding. But my pick is either of those! ;-) I just reviewed a book on my blog that's going to add to your TBR list Sorry Steph :-P

  4. You should read Velveteen or Graceling. But I think Graceling is more crucial.

Oh, and don't enter me in the giveaway, because I already have all of these. (Except for the Herbach book, I think, though I do own one, so it might be that one)

  5. I loved Across the Universe, but I really think you should read Velveteen. And I hope it's awesome!

  6. Velveteen (since I haven't read it and want to). But I loved Kristin Cashore, so... Graceling would be good too (mostly because I LOVED Fire, and really need to get to Bitterblue, since I pretty much stole it).

  7. Velveteen and Graceling in tandem because WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ GRACELING YET and I want to read more reviews of Velveteen before I make a decision to read it.

  12. Across the Universe and Graceling are both pretty amazing. But if I absolutely had to pick, probably Graceling.
