Top Ten (Tuesday) Authors That Make Me Laugh
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books. This weeks topic is... Authors in X genre. I'm doing authors that make me laugh, because I love authors who make me laugh, but I don't always enjoy straight comedies. As always, covers link to GoodReads.
To be fair, most of these authors make me feel all the emotions... What authors make you laugh?

I really should read Devilish! Although, to be fair, I should read all of Maureen Johnson's books! I also like Molly Harper and Meg Cabot for humor too, and Laurie Notaro... perhaps I should have done this meme!
ReplyDeleteGail Carriger is at the top of my makes me laugh list. She's freaking hilarious. I'm curious about the Harlan Coben book you mentioned - I only remember sleeping with the lights on after any of his more suspenseful tales. And I had no idea Paranormalcy was considered a funny but I'm interested, for sure. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I loved the Georgia Nicholson series . He is my Tuesday http://jennreneeread.blogspot.com/2012/10/teaser-tuesday-29-and-top-ten-19.html
ReplyDeleteExcellent list. I love the cover for Devilish. Creepy, yet fun. I always thought of Harlan Coben as more thriller so I'm very curious to check out deal breaker!
ReplyDeleteGreat list Steph! I have Deadly Cool on my list of books to read before the year is out!
ReplyDeleteI love how you did this TTT. I feel like its been some time since I laughed hard with a book, I will need to read one of these!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! Books that make me laugh are always my favorite. I've read almost all of the authors you have listed. Have you read anything by Carl Hiaasen? He writes for teens, and for adults. He is able to create the most interesting, quirky characters! For adult books, I say try Skinny Dip first, and for YA/MG, Hoot.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT
OMG! TOTALLY agree there with you on Paranormalcy! Which reminds me... I TOTALLY need to re-read that. Great list! :D
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top 10
I've only read Paper Towns on your list, but I do agree that John Green makes me laugh. And cry. And happy. And sad. All these emotions!
ReplyDeleteWell, I can definitely agree with the one's I've read so I might need to check out some of the ones I haven't. I love books that make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI've only ever read John Green from your list, and he's for sure made me laugh, as well as cry and be sad :(
ReplyDeleteJanet Evanovich is so funny, and I loved The Ghost and The Goth series!
ReplyDeleteDevilish looks wickedly fun and yummy XD I'm going to check it out on Goodreads right now :)
Janet Evanovich definitely wins this hands down for all time. She's so hysterical. Carl Hiaasen's pretty funny too. And Dave Barry. :)
