I was holding out declaring my intention to participate, because my life is crazy right now and I really don't have time. But... but... I really WANT to participate. Even when I fail, it's fun. I have no idea how I'm going to make this work, but I am determined to try.
I know a few awesome friends and bloggers are participating and I can't wait to whine about my word count with them on twitter. My story this year is inspired by my favorite classic novel, The Great Gatsby, and I'm totally intimidated by it. Are you participating? What is your story about? Add me if you are. ReplyDeleteI will not be participating this month. I just don't see how I can fit it in with all my reading I still have to do and with my two jobs and the holidays. It is just too much right now. I mean I know I am not the only person who is busy with life right now, but in order to do NaNo you have to make it a priority and I just know that I can't right now.

I'm still thinking about it. If I do participate, I doubt I'll reach the goal, but what's the worst that can happen? Not win? I can live with that :)

ReplyDeleteI am still excited that I finally got a brand new idea! I didn't want to re-hash an old (unfinished) project, but I wasn't getting any inspiration, and then BOOM! It's a bit outside of what I've written in the past, but that might be a good thing. ;) We will definitely have to meet up to do some write-ins! Also, the Richmond Wrimos have a kick off party at Capital Ale House on the 28th here, and it is always a blast. Let me know if you'll be down soon, Pam from Midnyte Reader sent me a cd for you.
