Weekend hops - July 6

Book Blogger Hop

If you could be a character from any book, who would you be?
I've definitely said it before, but if I could be anyone it would be Puck Connolly from The Scorpio Races.  She's strong and determined and passionate.  She knows what she wants and she goes after it.  When she gets it she is satisfied.  Lots of bad things happen in her life, but she is probably the happiest character that I've ever read and it is because she makes happiness a priority.

Comfort Reads: Which books do you go to for comfort and familiarity?  Is there a type of book you seek out when you're needing that extra bit of comfort in your life?

Absolutely.  I read Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys whenever I'm feeling really sad.  It's my ultimate guilty pleasure.  I don't know why I always pick it.

  6. I don't know this character.

My first thoughts were.....I don’t think I would want to be any character in a book. :)

But then I thought of two books I loved and listed those characters. :)

Stop by for my full answer. :)

  11. I've seen Megan Meade on your blog before (I think on the recent TTT it was there? If I remember right? memory fails. sigh.) but have never heard of it - i'm thinking I need to check it out now though! It sounds hilarious and awesome. Also, PUCK CONNOLLY <3. One of the best female characters in literature. ever.

  12. I am completely unsurprised that you would want to be Puck Connolly. :) I couldn't think of just one character so I passed on this weeks question. I haven't read Megan Meade but it sounds cute! And cute is always good for a comfort read!

  13. I feel like I have heard about Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys but it doesn't sound familiar. The plot doesn't anyway, but the title stirs up something...
