Quotes That Make You Swoon: What are some of the most swoon-worthy quotes you've experienced in a book?


I... seriously have too many quotes, but... sigh... I love me some swoon-worthy books.

This quote is just... I love it.  It has so much personality and it turns something cliche into something fun.  Plus, I mean, Noah... boy gives me pterodactyls, too.  There are so many others, but I didn't underline any and there aren't enough on GoodReads yet (but I'm sure there will be, because this book is SWOON-WORTHY!)

-Megan McCafferty, in... I *think* Charmed Thirds.  Marcus sends Jessica haikus made from spam e-mails and this one gives me chills every time. 

"You love me.  Real or not real?"
I tell him, "Real."
-Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.  Although this one kind of got ruined by my parents saying it to each other all the time.

"I might be in love with you."  He smiles a little.  "I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you, though."
-Divergent by Veronica Roth.  Sigh, Four.

-Shatter Me by Tahera Mafi.  Hands down, sexiest line ever.

I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, then all at once.
-The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.  Augustus has so many swoon-worthy lines, but I like this line, in Hazel's narration, best of all.

I kind of want to include a quote from The Scorpio Races, but all the quotes that make me swoon are very context based.  But man, Sean Kendrick, you can bring me ME bread for dinner.

Q: How long does it take you to read a book?


It depends on both my schedule and the book.  Some books I read in an afternoon (Social Suicide, Raised by Wolves).  Others (like Code Name Verity) I read very slowly.  Usually, I spend a couple days with most books, but that can easily be a week or longer if life gets in the way.  (I hate when life gets in the way.)
