Top Ten (Tuesday) Most Visit Worlds or Settings in Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books.  This weeks topic is... most vivid worlds or seetings. As always, covers link to GoodReads.

These settings and worlds were made so integral to the story that they literally could not have happened anywhere else.  They set the mood and created these amazing atmospheres for these stories to really play out.  I don't think it's a coincidence that all of these books really resonated with me.

  1. We need to read Gatsby again before the movie comes out. It's been way too long since I've read it.

    Excellent list! :)

  2. OH MAN you are so right about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. That is atmosphere and gritty it feels so real. Great Pick. And I have always wanted to read Plain Kate, but never hear about it. Great list Steph, per usual :-)

  4. I've only read HP & Anna and the French Kiss from your list, but I'm thinking I really need to get to some of these. I hear awesome things about When Things Come Back and of course I've been "meaning" to read Gone with the Wind and The Great Gatsby for forever. :) Great list!

  5. I almost put Anna and the French Kiss on my list, but didn't. I don't know why, and I wish I did now. Great list.

  6. WHERE THINGS COME BACK = YES.
Excellent setting, excellent story. Couldn't have happened anywhere else.

Great list. Lots of good ones on here. But I won't lie, I'm super happy to see WTCB on it today! It's a favorite of mine!

  9. Hi! Great list!
I chose anna and the French Kiss, too because I think the setting definitely makes the story what it is here - that book made me love Paris :)

  11. Do you know how long I've had The Forest of Hands and Teeth but still haven't read it? Which is shocking, because it's about zombies! But I love the books you've chosen, at least the ones I've read. It's nice to see Gone With The Wind, and of course I really want to live in the Harry Potter world, I don't think I'd want to be friends with anyone that didn't at least think about the HP world!

  12. Ten Thousand Saints looks good. I really like the cover, and am a huge fan of setting and atmosphere.

I love that you included Gone With The Wind, I will forever love that book!
