Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books. This weeks topic is... top ten books for people who like X author and for once... I have no idea. So I'll be choosing more than one author and more than 10 books. I'd apologize, but I'm not sorry. As always, covers link to GoodReads.

There's not much that I love more than recommending books. I can't wait to see what you all came up with.

I love recommending books, too. One of my favorite things to do. : ) I'm definitely going to take all of your John Green-based suggestions. Great list here.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love all the books on this list!
DeleteSeveral of these books are on my TBR, especially My Life Next Door! I haven't read anything by John Green yet (for shame) but The Fault in Our Stars is waiting for me to start it soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the blog, Steph!
TFIOS is amazing. Make sure you have tissues! And My Life Next Door is fab!
DeleteHa these are great recommendations! So many are on my TBR, especially How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr! I did my post on Stephanie Perkins. Check it out here: Top Ten Tuesday
ReplyDeleteHow to Save A Life is so good!
Deletealso, NEW FOLLOWER :-D awesome blog!
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOOVED Simple As Snow!!!! I got an ARC a long, long time ago and misplaced it somewhere...uh....and forgot the name. Thanks for reminding me, Steph. I also really want to read My Life Next Door - on my TBR list (everyone seems to be chatting about it). And I *still* haven't read a Sara Zarr book.....oi!
ReplyDeleteI loved My Life Next Door. It just made my heart so happy. I was sad when it ended.
DeleteThanks a lot for this post!!! :) I am going to put them all of them in my TBR pile. Thanks!!! ^^
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. :)
Deleteooh, i have where things come back in my car! and i've only not read one book in your list under Stephanie Perkins, My Life Next Door--it has very mixed reviews...hmm... ~dixie
ReplyDeleteI really liked it. It just... made me happy. Made me love the world. And Where Things Come Back is SAD. But it definitely reminded me of John Green (although maybe a little bit more pretentious). I ugly cried SO BAD.
DeleteGreat picks. I love Cassandra Clare but haven't read any of the books you mentioned. Definitely gotta fix that :-)
ReplyDeleteCassandra Clare knows how to amp up the drama. Her books are so much fun!
DeleteI haven't read a lot of these books on your list, but I totally agree with My Life Next Door and TSPOLAFS for Stephanie Perkins. How to Save a Life is on my TBR list, I'll get to it someday. ;)
ReplyDeleteSomeday... I say that every day.
DeleteThis would have been fun to participate in today...I think. I'm not sure I could have come up with any.
ReplyDeleteI had to think about mine a long time.
DeleteI have not read Lola OR any of those suggestions-but they look like perfect summer reads!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I prefer to sit in a recliner by a window in the air conditioning instead of actually going outside though.
DeleteI'm glad you like recommending, because I'm terrible at it! Everyone always asks me what to read, but I'm just...mind blanks haha. Anyway, I've never heard of As Simple As Snow, but I definitely love John Green so I'm going to check that out! And DEFINITELY agree on all the reccs for Stephanie Perkins fans, all are fantastic books!
ReplyDeleteI loved Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles!!! Have you read any of the sequels? I've been so close to buying them so many times. I really wanted to recommend Perfect Chemistry to my 8th graders when I was teaching Romeo and Juliet because it was similar themes, but I have to be so careful when there's sex and drug references :(

Awesome list! I haven't heard of all of these but I'm definitely going to check them out! I need to read Suite Scarlett soon--I hope to get to it as part of my YA Contemporary reading binge!
ReplyDeleteGreat list Steph! It makes me sad though because it only reminds me of how many great books are out that I haven't had the chance to read yet! A lot of the books you mentioned are on my tbr list!
