Top Ten (Tuesday) Books That Made Me Cry

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books.  This weeks topic is a throwback and I'm picking the top of Books That Made Me Cry. As always, covers link to GoodReads.

And since I LOVE books that make me cry... this was seriously hard to come up with.

Based on my list... what books should I let break my heart?

  7. I've been putting off reading The Fault in our Stars because I know that it's going to make me cry. Order of the Phoenix still makes me tear up even though I've read it a few times.

  8. I would have had a hard time with this list. I know I cry when reading but not very often. I'm much more of a movie crier. I did cry in Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, though.

  9. I sobbed all the way through Order of the Phoenix, and still do whenever I reread it or watch the movie. Saddest book ever, lol. he was my favorite character!

  10. TFiOS definitely made me cry (sob), but it's one of my favorite reads. I thought it was an amazing book. I think I cried a little bit when I read Trial by Fire too (love that series). I've got Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Anna & The French Kiss and Twenty Boy Summer on my bookshelf still to read :-)

  11. I'm pretty weird, because books, movies, and TV shows don't make me cry! I mean, Sirius is my all-time favorite character in ANY book and I didn't cry at the end of Order of the Phoenix! And while TFiOS made me feel ALL THE THINGS, I still didn't cry. But, I just caught up on the show Dance Academy and I bawled during the last 2 episodes of season 2. So maybe the cryer in me is staring to come out? Great list, Steph!

  14. I did cry during TFIOS but not during Daughter of Smoke and Bones or Anna and the French Kiss. In fact I can't even really think of which part in Anna would make someone cry. But it has been a while since I read that one. Have you read any Sarah Dessen, I finished Just Listen recently and the sister dynamic in that book almost made me cry.
