Top Ten (Tuesday) Beach Reads
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish that combines lists and books. This weeks topic is... books I'd recommend as good beach reads. As always, covers link to GoodReads.
For me, a beach read is both easy to read and fun. It doesn't mean that it isn't deep, it just means that even if you miss everything, you can still enjoy it. And there are lots of giggles in all these books.
This list could also double as a "Cheer myself up" list. How do you define a "beach read"?

Yeah! Totally there with you on Anna and Paranormalcy. Awesome list! :D
ReplyDeleteDrop by my Top 10?
I also have these categories. "Plane read" means something so distracting I won't freak out about flying. The Girl in the Dragon Tattoo was perfect for that. Even if I was smushed on a plane, I wasn't being chased by a serial killer.
ReplyDeleteI can read just about anything on a beach. But I sometimes am afraid I'll get sand in my books!
I def want to read My Life Next Door. The cover looks like it's set in the summer. I've heard great things about it! Great list. My Top Ten Tuesday
ReplyDeleteThere are so many books on this list I want to read - like Paranormalcy and Statistical Love. Awesome list!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't read Paranormalcy yet! My students LOVE it! :)
ReplyDeletei like the direction you took, all these books that i've read are funny & light. the others are actually on my TBR list :) great list. ~dixie
ReplyDeleteLove your list! Deadly Cool was amazing and I also loved Anna and the French Kiss. I'm really looking forward to reading Paranormalcy.
ReplyDeleteJanet Evanovich, hell to the yeah!
ReplyDeleteI want to read My Life Next Door like ASAP. *sighs*
Oh! I have been wanting to read The Ghost And The Goth for forever and still have not yet gotten to it despite taking it out of the library multiple times.
ReplyDeleteAlso I cannot think of a better beach buddy that Stephanie Plum.
Awesome list!
My Top Ten Tuesday
I haven't read any of these, but I want to read the Ghost and the Goth series.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious on My Life Next Door, I'll have to check that one out.
ReplyDeleteYes! That's also how I tend to think of beach reads... things that would work if I needed to cheer myself up. Cute, maybe swoony, FUNNY.
ReplyDeleteGreat list Steph!
Great list! I've only read Anna and the French Kiss and One for the Money, but I want to read all the others! And these do seem like perfect beachy summertime reads!
ReplyDeleteGASP. I MUST READ Anna and the French Kiss at the beach. The only good thing about me being so behind is that, as you pointed out, its a perfect summer read!
ReplyDeleteI think Anna is just perfect for the beach. I would recommend that book to anyone going on holiday x
ReplyDeleteI think beach reads are fun reads, with characters that you don't mind traveling along with as the story progresses. I personally am excited that you picked Paranormalcy, as I have yet to read it - and will be doing so next week!
ReplyDeleteI love the Stephanie Plum novels too. New follower via GFC :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with all your books except the ones I haven't read (Suite Scarlett, Paranormalcy, Stop in the Name of Pants, and the book that will not be named right now).
ReplyDeleteParanormalcy & One for the Money are waiting for me to take them to the beach.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your definition of a beach read, just keep it light and fun! I've only read two of the books on your list but three of your choices are on my tbr list!
