Sundays In Bed With... Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger

Sundays in bed with is hosted by Kate at Midnight Book Girl.  This week I am not in bed, but stuck on a bus.  As you may have noticed, I spent this last week at Book Expo America and I have already dived in to one of my most anticipated books of the year: Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger.

Forgive my squinty eyes.  It was very bright out.
Keeper is a middle grade fantasy with universal appeal and it is SO GOOD.  It comes out in October and I am already dying, because I have no idea how I'm going to be able to wait until September to review it.  I want you all to read it now.  Seriously, I am loving it.  I actually finished it very, very early on Sunday morning, in a stairwell and not in bed, but it still counts, because I have no idea what I will be reading on the bus.

  5. Keeper does sound really good! And I'm with you - it's so hard when you get a book really early, because you want to read it RIGHT AWAY but then you can't post your review until a couple of weeks or a month before it releases! Hmm, maybe you can write your review and save it as a draft, and then just wait to publish it. Or you could re-read it in September! ;)

  7. I started following Shannon's blog a couple of years ago and just watching her journey to publication was very cool. I was excited to meet her at BEA and congratulate her. I didn't manage to get a copy of the book, but I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it! Can't wait to read it when it comes out!

  9. I love this picture and you are making me think that I should read this book before I give it to you. But then I remember that I have a ton of other books so, I probably won't. :) When will we be seeing you?

  10. Reading in a stairwell? Interesting. I am pretty sure I can honestly say that I have never done that one! But I just hope you were sitting in the stairwell and not trying to climb the steps while reading because that could have been very dangerous!
