Sundays In Bed With... ALL THE BOOKS

Sundays in bed with is hosted by Kate at Midnight Book Girl.

I have big plans for reading this week.  BIG PLANS.  Finishing ALL THE BOOKS.  Maybe.  I want to finish three books: The Diviners (which is AMAZING, I just didn't have any reading time this week), Dear Teen Me (also awesome and something I had highly anticipated), and Code Name Verity (Still! I know!  It's amazing, but really difficult to get through.  I like giggles.  Torture... not so funny).  I also want to start Reunited, which should be full of fun.  I had to stop myself there.  Covers link to goodreads, because I am way too tired to take a picture:

  1. Big plans, indeed. But I bet you can accomplish all of your reading goals this week! Code Name Verity! AHHH! Soooooo good. I legitimately love that book foreva and eva.

Also? I am dying to know what you think of The Diviners and I feel like Reunited will be a super fast read.

    1. Thanks! I'm hoping to. I've finished the Diviners and it was really good. There was a lot going on (to set up future books) and was this slow kind of weaving plot, but I totally loved the characters and time period. I think readers who adored A Great and Terrible Beauty will love this one, too!

  2. Go, Steph!
There were parts of Code Name Verity that I struggled through. Like the extended technical descriptions of airplanes. But keep going. The end is just amazing.

    1. Yeah... the airplanes bore me. But then she'll get to a part and I'll be completely riveted!

  3. I need to read Code Name Verity soooooon, too. I really looked forward to it prior to release, and even STARTED it, but...I definitely need to give it the attention it deserves and right now I'm in FLAILY FANGIRL mood which is not how I want to go into it, haha.

    1. There is definitely something to be said for being in the right mood to read. I love flaily fangirl mode! I'm about to start the Vampire Academy series and hoping to get there!

  4. Reunited is a super fast read (I'm so piggy backing on April's comment) and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. And Code Name Verity. It's a tough book to get through, but it's amazing. I love it.

also. . . I can't wait to see what you think of The Diviners. you should email me after you finish it. I'm not a historical fan, but I do love the 1920s. . . and I'm not so sure about Libba Bray. I didn't like her debut book, and since then her books seem to have gotten weirder (aka Beauty Queens and Going Bovine). I'm just really curious because this one sounds really good, but I don't want to request it from LB if it isn't a book for me. You know? SO YES, please email me after you finish it :)

and go you! You can totally read all the books today. I think I'm going to try to read a few today, too.

  7. I'm so excited for The Diviners!! I have Code Name Verity but I'm not yet in the mood to read it. Reunited looks like it's funny so it's probably a good follow up to Code Name Verity.
