BEA 2012 Part One

I'm typing this on Thursday to post on Friday.  BEA just ended and I'm both sad and relieved.  Sad because it was amazingly fun, but relieved because it was seriously exhausting.  I can't imagine having more fun then I did.  Today and tomorrow I'm going to share these crazy four days via pictures.

SUNDAY
I finished packing after midnight and left for New York at about 5am on Sunday.  I caught the megabus with Kate and Kim.

We walked about a little bit and met up with some other awesome bloggers for dinner.  This is me with Jen and Jen.

Pam was my hero this week.  She helped me navigate the complete overwhelmingness (is that a word?) that is the first day of BEA.  She looks so happy here, I love it!

If you have more pictures, send them to me!

MONDAY

We got to the Javits Center early, checked in, and I was so excited to get my badge.  The Javits Center was completely book-i-fied, with this cool Shadow Hunters Ad on the stairs and Odd Apocalypse everywhere.

I met some awesome bloggers and authors at the breakfast, but I forgot to take pictures.  Jennifer Weiner gave opening remarks, then we had lunch with more authors.  I got a picture of Sheryl Berk who wrote her new book The CupCake Club: Peace, Love, and Cupcakes with her daughter.  But I had so much fun with all the of the authors, too!

In the afternoon we had our choice between sessions and it was a great learning experience.  I loved being on twitter at the event and reading comments from other bloggers as we listened to the speakers.  Twitter definitely made it a richer experience.

Jenny Lawson, The Bloggess, gave closing remarks.  Much like her blog, she made me laugh and she made me cry.  I seriously love her.

Tomorrow, I'll share pictures from the floor.
