Waiting On Wednesday: Taken By Storm

Waiting On Wednesday, hosted by Breaking the Spine, lets us book hoarding bloggers highlight a book we're excited for each week.  This week I'm waiting on Taken By Storm by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

GoodReads Description:  Bryn knows first-hand that being the alpha of a werewolf pack means making hard decisions, and that being human makes things a thousand times worse. She's prepared to give up her humanity, but the wolf who promised to Change her is waiting - though for what, Bryn doesn't know. Still human, she must take her place in the werewolf Senate, the precarious democracy that rules the North American packs. Standing side by side with werewolves who were ancient long before she was ever born is enough of a challenge, but Bryn soon learns that the Senate has been called to deal with a problem: the kind of problem that involves human bodies, a Rabid werewolf, and memories that Bryn, Chase, and the rest of their pack would rather forget. With bodies stacking up and political pressure closing in from all sides, Bryn and her pack are going to have to turn to old enemies and even older friends for help - especially when it starts to look like this time, the monster might be one of their own.

Why I'm Excited: The first two books were amazing.  Non-stop action and completely unputdownable, but amazing characters that I immediately loved and who felt like best friends.  Add to that the constant, multi-layered conflict and I am dyyyying for the third installment.

Taken By Storm comes out May 22, 2012.

  4. This book does sound really good! I can't wait for you to read it and review it for me! I haven't read much werewolf literature, except for Twilight and that one Sookie Stackhouse guy and a short story from a friend. I have Shiver but I haven't read it yet.

  5. I will probably skip this series, because honestly I just can't read every book in the world. And this makes me sad. However, I look forward to hearing you talk about how much you loved this book, this series, and other books and series, on the way up to New York! ;)

  12. This seems like a popular choice today :) I haven't read this series, I usually stay away from paranormal, but I have heard a million and one good things about it so I may end up giving it a chance. Who knows, maybe I'll have a new author/series to obsess over. One can never have too many of those lol!
