Book Blogger Hop: May 11-May17

Before I get to the book blogger hop, I want to announce the winner of my giveaway....

Tayte Hunter who chose Social Suicide!  Congratulations!  I've e-mailed you.

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen at Crazy For Books that allows us book bloggers to answer a question every week.  I love this meme, because it allows me to get to know other bloggers better.  Plus, I like talking about myself.

This week's question:
Who is your favorite book character?  I'll give you a maximum of two choices, but they have to be from different genres.

I love this week's question because it once again allows me to talk about The Scorpio Races some more.  I'm going to cheat a little, because the Scorpio Races is told in dual narration and I love both Puck Connolly and Sean Kendrick.  Puck is brave and loving and loyal.  She knows what she wants and she is content when she has it.  She understands how to be happy.  I have never wanted to be a character so bad as I want to be Puck Connolly.  Sean is quiet and strong and steady.  He loves less easily than Puck, but just as intensely and I totally want to fall in love with someone who is just as passionate as Sean.

Choice two will have to be Claudia from From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, because I think she was the first character I ever wished I could be.  She's awesome.  She ran away from home and lived in a museum.  She is self-reliant and curious and smart.  I still kind of want to be her.

  1. I love Claudia. I haven't read my copy of The Scorpio Races yet, but I'd like to get to know Puck and Sean.

    Congrats to Tayte.

  2. When I saw this question I KNEW you were going to pick from The Scorpio Races. In fact that was my thought when I read the question last week. It wasn't "hmmmm who I am going to pick?" it was "Steph is going to choose from the Scorpio Races" ;)

I haven't thought about The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler in soooooo long. Great choice!

  8. I love Mixed-Up Files! And Claudia is totally a rockin narrator! I wanted to bathe in a fountain and gather coins after reading that book. Haha :)

I can't wait to read Scorpio Races this summer. It's on my to-read list but I've been waiting until I have time to savor it. I love Maggie Stiefvater. :)
