I'd like to say that I'm done with the first draft of my story, but I have a little bit left to go. I wrote more this week than I have during any other week in January, so I really can't complain. I should finish up tonight or tomorrow, then I can jump right in to rewriting my script.
I also met all my non-writing goals this week. I watched a movie (sadly it was disappointing), read a screenplay, and two books. I've got a ton of library books out at the moment, which I'm hoping to get through, because I'd like to focus my reading on my (horrifyingly large) TBR pile in February. I'm also giving a friend notes on his manuscript this week, which is both nerve-wracking, but enjoyable, because I think it helps me as a writer just as much as I hope it helps him.
Now I'm off to the gym. I hope you are all just as satisfied with your own weeks!

That's great that you're meeting your non-writing goals. And it sounds like you're doing ok with your writing if you're almost done with your first draft. Good luck this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just finished my first draft! :) Reading a long book then starting a new project.
DeleteGoing to the gym and meeting your goals.. Awesome!! Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, it sounds like you nailed your goals on every front with your progress. Even if you didn't "finish" your draft, having written the most words of all January weeks...well fahhhbulous! I am so jealous! LOL! Here's to a great week ahead...
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so familiar. I am actually embarrassed at times by the large stack I take to the library counter. My TBR pile is usually 2-3 feet tall. I have forced myself not to even enter a library or bookstore in the last few weeks while I get through the books I already have.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your goals! You are rockin' the ROW! Hope you have a terrific writing week. You'll be done with that 1st draft before you know it.
Thanks! I got so embarrassed by my TBR pile (120+ books, because I have no self control at bookstores), that I started buying kindle books so it wouldn't look so bad. Haha.
DeleteOh! And my library has self-checkout! Score. Every time I go to the counter, they look at my stack of books and say "You realize you already have 12 books checked out" and I'm like... "I just returned two".
Deletegoogle knows it :-D
